Simple Tips for Setting Goals That Actually Work

Here's my no-nonsense approach to goal setting that I use with everyone from 5-year-olds to 65-year-olds:

Start Small, Think Big: Your first goal should be so easy it feels almost silly. Want to get fit? Start with "I'll do 5 push-ups today." Not 50. Five. Build that confidence first.

Make It Specific: "I want to be better at self-defense" is too vague. "I want to learn three basic blocks this month" – now we're talking! Specific goals give you a clear target.
